Fossil, mineral or artefact collecting is an amazing activity! You get to spend a lot of time collecting items during field trips or when visiting fairs and events. Another aspect of your collection is the study of the individual items. A lot of information can be found on the internet and in specialized books and magazines. Valuable information can be obtained from fellow collectors and professional scientists. Most of the time, specimens also need some kind of cleaning and preparation.
