From setup to final render – build real skills through hands-on, production-style projects.
What you’ll learn
⚡ Create master materials and work with advanced materials in the Material Editor
⚡ Set up scene lighting, light sources, and post-processing for a realistic look
⚡ Build interactive Blueprint logic for real-time, interactive presentations
⚡ Work with landscapes, scene import, and AI-assisted tools to optimize a scene
⚡ Create animation, edit in Sequencer, and set up a final cinematic render
⚡ Break down a creative brief and understand how studio and freelance 3D work actually works
Requirements
❗ No prior experience with Unreal Engine required — this course is beginner-friendly for the engine
❗ Basic skills in any 3D software (Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, etc.) are helpful but not required
DescriptionThis course contains the use of artificial intelligence. The English narration for this course was produced using AI-assisted translation and voice dubbing from the original language, then reviewed for accuracy.
The course is built on a principle of growing complexity: you don’t dive straight into the hardest project. Instead, you ease into Unreal Engine gradually, through clear tasks a newcomer can handle — and with every new project, not only does the difficulty grow, but so does your understanding of Unreal Engine’s strengths.
Step 1: An easy start — Interactive Kitchen
Your first project is a safe entry point into Unreal Engine. A modular 3D kitchen built from ready-made pieces: you’ll work through the interface, scene import, master materials, and lighting on a compact interior object, while taking your first clear steps into interactivity with Blueprints — learning exactly what a 3D artist needs to know.
Step 2: Raising the bar — Barn House
Once the basics are in place, the course raises the stakes. The second project, Barn House, is a video presentation of a country house: custom scene-import techniques, advanced materials, landscape work, AI-assisted scene optimization, animation and Sequencer work, post-processing, and a final render built for video.
The course grows with you
This isn’t the end: new projects will keep being added, each one harder than the last — the same way a working artist takes on more ambitious jobs as their experience grows.
Why this isn’t just lessons — it’s an internship
Each project is its own creative brief, and you work through it the way you would in a real studio or as a freelancer: breaking down requirements, following the pipeline from import to final result, and delivering a finished project. The course also covers how studio and freelance work actually function — things most people usually only learn on their first real job.
The course is taught by Artem — a motion and technical artist with twenty years of experience in 3D (advertising, film, animation, games), whose courses have been taken by more than 7,000 students. Unreal Engine continues the same practical, pipeline-focused approach previously used in his Blender courses.
