Description
This course will guide you how to build the modern Angular 22 application, with the signals, inputs and standalone components. Angular part will be the future basis of mobile application and we will use modern HTML5 tags so that browsers will be demonstrating the content in the uniform way.
Course will not be focusing on creating the Ionic application from scratch, neither using the Ionic components/styling. In this course Angular Material UI library will be used, which is then will be ported to iOS/Android using the CapacitorJS, developed by Ionic team.
We will be developing the Automated weather tracker mobile application, with complex UI, containing tabs, popups, charts, so that our project will be complex enough to demonstrate power of Angular & Ionic. In order to provide the chart data, we will be using the ChartJS wrapper, ngx-charts and pull the information through socketio.
For a backend for our monitoring application we will construct a solution based on NestJS & socketio, so that we can reuse the mental model from Angular while building our Node backend. Backend will be not focusing on the connection to the database, but we will still implement authentication/authorization using PassportJS. We will implement also uploading capabilities of our application, so that we can demonstrate in our mobile application photo uploading logic.
In the final phase of this course, you will learn how to leverage the power of cross-platform development. We will migrate our core web application into a high-performing mobile app using the Capacitor 8, developed by Ionic and some utility libraries from Ionic. We will work on the adapting the UI for mobile screens, implementing gesture detection, working with permissions on both iOS and Android.
And lastly, we will look in the developing custom plugins for the Capacitor, in the native technologies.
